Oakland Drug Treatment Centers

Oakland (Alameda County) is the 8th largest city in California (CA) and is located in what is commonly referred to as the Bay Area, which includes major cities, San Francisco and San Jose. Oakland is the home to 404,155 residents and the Bay Area has a population of approximately 7.3 million making it the 6th largest metropolitan area in the US. Oakland, like San Francisco, is known to be the home of a thriving gay community and is known for it's liberal politics. Oakland is also home to major corporations, including Kaiser Permanente and Clorox and the corporate headquarters of Dreyer's and Cost Plus World Markets.

Despite all this, Oakland shares many of the same drug abuse problems as San Francisco and the Bay Area. Due to California's close proximity with the border, drugs are commonly smuggled into San Diego and Los Angeles and then northwards to the bay area and Oakland. Nearly all the drugs in Oakland have been trafficked into the country across the Mexican border. Oakland has major problems with both crack and heroin. Meth is also a large concern, despite having low rates of abuse than Sacramento and northern California.

Listed below are Oakland substance abuse treatment centers and alcohol rehabilitation centers. If you wish to contact a treatment center, visit the facility page and submit the form to contact the facility. Feel free to contact more than one facility as it's important that you find the best treatment center for you or your loved one.
